Amisha Patel of Bensalem, PA, was among the graduates recognized during University of the Sciences' 196th commencement celebration on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, in Philadelphia, Pa.

Patel graduated summa cum laude with a doctor of pharmacy degree . She was a member of Alpha Lambda Delta, National Honor Society for First-Year Students, and Rho Chi, National Honor Society of Pharmacy. She received the Elizabeth Eby Appleby Award given to a deserving PharmD candidate with interest in gerontology/geriatrics or aging studies related to pharmacy practice and has demonstrated resilience in the person life to overcome a challenge or adversity.
