James Armstrong won first place in the Healthy Lifestyles Social Media Contest

Philadelphia, PA (04/04/2017) — James Armstrong, a junior at Downingtown STEM Academy, took home first place in the Healthy Lifestyles Social Media Competition at University of the Sciences' Mayes College of Healthcare Business and Policy last month.

Armstrong, of Chester Springs, Pa., won the $2,000 cash prize and a $5,000 scholarship to Mayes College for his presentation "Adiago: A Better You," which featured an app for a mobile device that relieves stress and improves sleep using classical music to maximize productivity and facilitate a better life.

For the competition, students were asked to design social media campaigns across YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and more to communicate a specific theme that would encourage individuals to adopt a healthier lifestyle.
